MICHAEL P. HAMMOND PREPARATORY PROGRAM

Prospective Students

Private lesson instruction is the heart of the Preparatory Program, for the ages six to pre-college group, through which our teachers nurture skills in the chosen instrument(s), introduce basic musicianship, and thus develop the student into true musicians.  In addition, private lessons are supplemented with non-credit courses in group music theory, chamber music ensemble opportunities, and monthly Preparatory Program recital presentations.  We also offer yearly jury evaluations and masterclass opportunities for our advanced students.

All of the Preparatory Program offerings combined allows students to explore their musical interests and meet other like-minded students and therefore create a well-rounded musical experience for the most advanced and excelled students.  However, all of our musical offerings are optional and can be registered independently thus allowing students the flexibility to choose according to their interests and schedule.
